What is the Great British Sewing Bee?
The Great British Sewing Bee is a program on BBC2, where the aim is to find Britain's best home sewer! 8 fantastic sewers are put to the test in a competition to become the first ever Sewing Bee champion! The 2 sewers who have not proved themselves as well as they could that week will be asked to leave. There are 3 challenges every week. The first is to follow a pattern to make something simple, such as an A - line skirt, a pair of trousers etc. The second challenge is to alter a high street buy, and the final task is to create a made to measure item of clothing from scratch, to fit a living model! What could go wrong?
